For more than a decade, I’ve worked behind the scenes of corporate events—trade shows, executive dinners, team off-sites, and large industry conferences. These are the moments where companies connect with customers, align their teams, and move business forward.

Yet despite how important these gatherings are, the process of planning them has long felt fragmented.

When I was leading global event programs for technology companies, one of the most time-consuming parts of the job was simply finding the right venue or service partner. Not just any venue—but one that matched the energy of the event, supported the logistics, and reflected the brand. The same was true for vendors: production teams, speakers, experiential partners.

The stakes were high. The tools were limited.

Most planners relied on a patchwork approach—searching online, asking colleagues for recommendations, scrolling through outdated directories, or reaching out to venues one by one. The most valuable insights lived in conversations between planners who had already done the work.

And as any event professional knows, planning often means reinventing the wheel. The same research. The same outreach. The same uncertainty about whether a partner will deliver at the level your event demands.

Trust is everything in this industry. When you’re responsible for bringing people together—clients, teams, leadership—you need partners you can rely on. You need spaces that set the right tone. And you need confidence that the experience you’re creating will live up to expectations.

Over time, I realized something simple: the industry didn’t need more noise. It needed clarity.

That realization became the foundation for PopEvent.

Go-To Private Dining Room
We hosted a client dinner in Ostra’s Private Dining Room and it was a total 5-star experience. We were in town for a conference at the Hyatt Regency, and Ostra was the perfect short walk—easy for everyone and a great way to elevate the night without adding logistics.

The CHG team was pro-level from the beginning: proactive, organized, and thoughtful about every detail. On-site service was warm, polished, and seamless. The food was outstanding—gorgeous presentation, perfect pacing, and something guests talked about all evening. Valet parking also made arrivals and departures incredibly smooth.
